Symbolism of the Saga

The Lost Kingdom Saga is an allegory that portrays the classic struggle of good versus evil coupled with themix of good versus bad decisions in a five book story.  The saga itself begins with Book One, titled A Land Divided.  When the land of Purthia quickly devolves into chaos after the death of its king, the forces of evil literally threaten to enshroud the land and its people completely.  The ensuing quest by three proud and idealistic warriors represents the search for peace and good in the face of such evil.  They literally face the impossible and as such, their fight rapidly becomes the good fight of faith, for without such, their failure is more than assured.

Throughout the story, themes of faith and perseverance abound.  Eventually, the characters are also faced with the fine line that separates good, sound decisions from ones that are poor.  This all culminates with the grand dilemma of might and right and how these two concepts both interrelate as well as oppose one another.  From this, the overall theme of the saga evolves into one of a moral dilemma.  The question then becomes, When the enemy is relentless, what kind of decisions will you make and even more than that, what will become of your faith in the good of things?
